I don't have a whole lot of information yet.  I've been contacted by the owner of an independent pet shop in New Brunswick.  The shop is about to close for good, and there's a 16 year old female boa constrictor (about 9 feet) that they'd like to find a good home for.

If anybody who has snake keeping experience is interested, I'll put you in contact with the owner.

Hello, and welcome to SWR!   I can't right now.  I'm still waiting to hear back from the one with the boa.  I will let you know though if I hear back.

Hey straightjacket.   Just need to know more about your history with herps.  Screening is standard with NSHS adoptions as the goal is to find a good, permanent home.  References would help a lot too, but not always necessary.  You can PM me the details.

Hoping to get some pics of the boa here soon.  The store closes on Oct 31.

Paula,

I will likely be in Moncton the weekend of October 3rd, so if a new home is found by then, and the snake's location is not too far away from Moncton, I may be able to assist with transporting it.

Thanks Tom!  I'll pass that on to the owner.

(Got your PM, and I appreciate the sentiment there as well.  I'm busy in the kitchen today, so I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone. Smiley)

To those who have inquired:

I'm still waiting to hear back from the owner - it's been a week.  I re-sent my last e-mail two days ago.
